Day 81: Deuteronomy 8:17-20. And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might f mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the LORD thy God. For which things sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.
Now what happens here is you ponder on the fact that God gave all fare warning and precise instructions on what we are to do concerning him. The question remains after careful deliberations with that important self ask yourself, am I that obedient servant without spot or blemish, am I ready for the Lord to return? Be honest with yourself, your salvation depends on it.
For if we judge ourselves, we should not be judged. Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. ( 1 Corinthians, Philippians)
Paul, like ourselves, had choices to make and he followed the way of Christ and encouraged us all to follow the way of Christ, which there is no greater example.
Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life.
A treasure worth finding....
Amen.
