day 14: Mark 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. Mark 1:14-15 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God. And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
The Lord Jesus Christ preached repentance, John the Baptist preached repentance, what happened to the preachers of today, without repentance their is no remorse for your sins, meaning no heartfelt forgiveness for a broken and contrite spirit is what God wants for without their is no true I'm sorry meaning we will repeat the same mistakes meaning we learned nothing.
True forgiveness meaning remember your sins no more, don't we all hate when somebody say I'm sorry but then a short time later we perform a repeat performance of the same thing sometimes worse than the last.
God knows your heart, and wants the entire world to believe in Jesus Christ whom God the Father sent to teach and show that which God expects from us all, most importantly obedience to every commandment and every word that proceeded out of his mouth. For he that God sends speaks that of God.
Jesus preached repentance why don't we listen, why call him Lord if his word mean nothing to you, then in the event that it does mean something, then God willing, do what it say, don't be hearers only but doers also. Amen.
Look in the mirror and ask yourself have I even tried.
A treasure worth finding...
Amen.
